Week 1 Build Season

Business and Marketing 

Business and Marketing has been working hard with interviews and photos this week. The team recently began updating social media and has worked with the website, as well as its calendar over the past few weeks. Restaurant nights and team events have also been scheduled. This newsletter was also a project of the Business and Marketing team over the past few days.

Programming

Before build season started, the programming veterans taught the rookies basic programming skills they would require when work on the robot began. These skills include basic Java, which is important to the coding of the robot. However, the group can't begin the coding process until they get the final robot design from the design team.

Design

The design team has the most important job at the moment. It seems that every group is patiently waiting to see the final design they select for the robot. Prototypes have been in progress and the team is hoping to have the final design by the end of this week.  

Build

The build team is keeping busy with prototypes and planning the robot materials which will include aluminum, plastic, pop-rivets, and possibly steel. Right now they are anxiously waiting for the design team to decide on the robot design so they can begin the build process.

Electrical

The electrical team worked with pneumatics and motor control systems which were tested and worked flawlessly. They have been building a new testing board and plan to test along with the programming and mechanical teams to make sure the systems work together. The new electrical components allow new features to be added to the robot this season.
