Programming

Lately the programming team has been working with the electrical team in order to finalize the robot. The programmers have been working with encoders, the pneumatic system, ultrasonic sensors and many other robot components. As the Sussex Mini Regional approaches, programmers are trying to get different drive modes and controls for robot drivers to test for their preference. Also they had to lower the robot's camera resolution to avoid any lag. In conclusion the programming team is wrapping up the code for each and every component of the robot.

Business and Marketing

The BAM team has been working on various projects as the build season comes to and end. They have been updating their new website with new content and also have been constructing a new scouting program. Furthermore they have been working on their Chairman's presentation and the Chairman's video.

Design

The design team has been working on safety rails which keep the robot from being damaged by its own pneumatic arms. Bumpers are being finished and placed onto the robot. They also have been mounting the intake roller which is finished. Design is mounting the portcullis gate onto its pre-built base to be able to test it with the robot. Furthermore they have been working with electrical to solve some problems with overheating wires.

Mechanical

The mechanical team has been hard at work as the season comes to a close. They have finished assembly and machining of all robot parts and they have been building spare parts and brackets needed for mounting robot components. In conclusion the mechanical team has been cooperating with the electrical and design teams in order to find and fix problems with the robot.

Electrical

For the past week, the electrical team has been working on putting together the electrical board, wiring it, and figuring out the part placement for the parts that didn’t fit. The electrical board ended up being a success and worked on the first try. Along with that, electrical has been putting fans on the sim motors to keep from overheating. The team has also worked hard at putting in encoders and the pneumatic system.

Safety

This week, the safety team has graded the previous test and started working on the newest one, which is about competition safety in preparation for the competition on Sunday in Sussex. This topic is especially important for the rookies, who haven’t been to a competition yet. The test was given out on Thursday and everyone passed.
