We're Almost There, Sabers! –Welcome to Week Four, Five, and Six of the Team 2506 Saber Robotics build season!

The weather outside may have been frightful, but the robotics team has been hard at work for the last few weeks of Build season. The competitions are coming up, and the team will have their time to shine pretty soon.

The electrical team, before they received the robot, had been going through different designs for the electrical board. Now that they have the robot, they’ve mounted the electrical boards and have been routing wire and hooking them up to the various motors. They’ve also been running pneumatics to all the the cylinders and making sure the robot can move.

The Programming has been helping electrical to troubleshoot the robot. They allow them to see what is actually moving and where code is going. After they figure out what is wrong, they will fix it. As for programming themselves, they’ve been learning how to code the IR sensor that was given to them this year to follow the line on the playing field. They’ve also worked on getting vision tracking to get the items that are on the cargo ship and rocket. The latest thing they’re doing is organizing the code to put it all into one place for the robot.

While the robot has been coming together, the Business team has been hard at work as well. Recently they have been working on their submission for the Chairman's award. They have also been working on the business plan, and have even been able to gain 2 new sponsors, FedEx, and Revere Electric Shipment Company.
