Building a robot is expensive. Ordering the materials, traveling to competitions, and simply making the ‘bot requires money. In order to raise the necessary funds, Team 2506 has numerous fundraisers throughout the year.
Current Fundraisers
Join us for lunch from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday, March 20th at Jimmy Johns
(27th and College)!
One of the first fundraisers we do during the school year is selling Marcus Movie Tickets. A percentage of the funds go to pay for students who travel to Regionals out of state. Every student was given tickets to sell, and each student had to sell a minimum number of tickets. We were able to make several hundred dollars with this simple fundraiser.
Franklin has a thriving business community. Many of the establishments are restaurants. Restaurants such as Culvers, Noodles & Company, Jimmy Johns and Cousins have generously agreed to have “Robotics Nights’, during which a percentage of the profits earned go to our team. In fact, Cousins generously agreed to not just have a Robotics night, but a Robotics Weekend! Culvers has a website which can be accessed here. Cousins website may be seen here. Noodles also has a website here. For Jimmy Johns, visit this link.

Past Fundraisers
One way of raising money is through the WI FIRST Raffle. Raffle tickets are sold from approximately Kickoff until the Charger Mini-Regional. Tickets cost three dollars or four for ten dollars. Prizes include cash and even electronics! The money raised by this pays for the Sussex-Hamilton Mini-Regional. This fundraiser is done by multiple teams, with some of the profits going to each team. If you are a member a team and are interested in this fundraiser, be sure to sign your team up! The Charger Robotics from Sussex-Hamilton, FIRST Team 537, has a website that can be seen here.
Franklin High School has extensive athletics and extracurricular programs besides Saber Robotics. Like Robotics, those teams have to raise money. To do so, they sell concessions. Sometimes, those teams need assistance selling concessions. That is when Saber Robotics steps in. we sell concessions for various other teams (such as basketball or football) and in return, receive a percentage of the profits earned. Since many fans and super-fans attend Franklin’s sporting events, and we were able to make a fair amount of profits. Franklin High School’s Website can be accessed here.
